Currently, the Tuesday group is reading “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig, an engaging, smart novel for people (like all of us) who suffer occasional regrets about past decisions and maybe a bit of sadness about our present situation. When you start reading the book, you think, “Poor Nora” or “This is going to be a depressing book.” Well, no, it’s not.
There is humor and irony as Nora looks back on the different journeys she might have taken had she made different choices. For example, what if the person she might have married turned out to be a real louse?
