“I Was Sick” – A Call to Bring Healing - 5th Sunday of Lent

  • First Congregational Church of Bakersfield-UCC 5 Real Road Bakersfield, CA, 93309 United States (map)

Pastor: Rev. Jenell Mahoney
Scripture: Matthew 25:31-46

“I was sick, and you took care of me.”

Christ’s ministry was one of healing—not just of bodies, but of souls, communities, and broken spirits.

Sickness comes in many forms—physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. Who in our lives is in need of healing? Who needs presence, prayer, care?

This Sunday, we reflect on what it means to be a church of healing and wholeness—a place where no one suffers alone, where love is the balm for all wounds.

Come, reflect, and pray with us as we seek to bring healing to the world.
